I picked up this body cheap . Hate to see anything go to waste . Obviously the "Battery Box ?" was not supposed to be cut all the way through . I am going to mount the Jack in that spot . I however have NO EXPERIENCE with Tremolo set ups . Can someone please give me some information on the type of hardware this is cut for ? I understand the pups, not an issue its mainly the tremolo.

Thank You

Frankly, the whammy routing doesn't look right to me. Wish I had better answers for you.

Buy a trem with two mounting studs. It will come with all the parts you need.

As an example I found this image online

Ok , I have not seen one using studs before . That answers the big question .

Trem rout needs work! Looks like someones CNC nightmare.... Should be a shelf from the back to allow the trem to pull up more than a quarter step.

Are you making the neck? First thing needs checked is bridge pivot versus scale length versus end of neck. If it doesn't work out to scale length it is a wall hanging art piece.

Other than that the single coil routs are not big enough and will need made correct. The H bucker rout needs room for the back plate legs and you need short leg pickups to keep out of the trem cavity. The battery box was to be a slick top mount jack that is popular these days but oops...

Also looks like the pickup routes are not deep enough...

A few issues. 1. Any pup ring will overhang the cutaway contour on the neck pup. Won't look good, 2. The overall body thickness needs to be no less than 1 3/4 inches for a standard trem to fit. As others have said the single coil routs are wrong and all 3 routs look too shallow. Especially the HB.
As a cheap ass myself, I could not see throwing 300 or 400 dollars worth of hardware at this body.
May I ask where you bought this?

This is a Parts guitar . I have $25.00 in the body and $20.00 in a neck . Re-cutting any pup cavity work is no issue . I have no intention in using high dollar hardware on this . Will probably end up being a give away to a kid who wants to learn . I have 4 " Parts Guitars " i am putting together to get rid of and make more room in my shop .

The HB router depth is 3/4" Its not finished . The other two are at 15/16" Currently Body Thickness is 1-3/4" Sent PMs

HB Depth 3/4" "needs screw mount room " Other 2 are 15/16 deep . Body is 1-3/4" Thick and with neck set as is current scale length is as shown in pic

If i understand this correctly , The Scale length should be to the front edge of the trem pocket + or - I am 5/16" Past that point . Am I thinking Correctly ?

Looks like you have everything covered. Thickness and depths are hard to tell on pics. The layout looks very similar to the layout that I use on S types that I build except the bucker. Making some kid's day is a worthy cause.

Thank you , The scale length may be a bit long based on what I am seeing . I may have to adjust things a bit .

It looks like a Floyd Rose type mounting for the trem. Go to stewmac and sometimes they have drawings that show dimensions.
